A Celebration of Survival, October 1, 2011
Left to Right: Christine Davis, Master Jack Davis, Kathi Kolb, Donna Bacon, Dorothy Denoto, Vicki Murphy,
Kathy Caridi, Marilyn Fifer, Rosemary Hayden, Millie Rodriguez, Michele Roberts
On October 1, 2011 we saluted breast cancer survivors everywhere. Our Fashion Show took a look back at the beautiful women you have known on stage and screen, who all heard the words, “you have breast cancer.” They are, Bette Davis, Myrna Loy, Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Jean Simmons, Jennifer Jones, Hattie McDaniel, Julia Child, Vivian Vance, Rosalind Russell and Paulette Goddard. The Warrior Angel Survivor Models wore vintage clothing from the Edwardian Era, the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s and 60’s.
Thank you, to our beautiful models - All survivors- all magnificent- all Warrior Angels!

In his spare time, Dr. Israeli enjoys clay sculpture and has had training in classical European sculpture techniques. He is currently completing a life-cast sculpture project with a number of his breast reconstruction patients for an exhibit of his work entitled ‘Breast Reconstruction – Restoring Wholeness.’ This exhibit is being coordinated with the Osler Medical Society at North Shore University Hospital this October.
The No Surrender Breast Cancer Foundation is honored to present Dr. Israeli with the Alice Roosevelt Longworth Award for his achievement in medicine, his artistic ability and, above all, the personal care he gives to each woman who walks in his door frightened and is able to leave as a confident, strong, beautiful survivor.
